Broward College reduces costs, improves efficiency and simplifies their conferencing with Microsoft Lync and AudioCodes Mediant Media Gateways. Integrated solution provides superior voice quality and ease of use, allowing the college to pursue new “cyber-advising” opportunities with students.

The Hebrew University of Jerusalem selected AudioCodes 320HD IP Phones for users in the Rachel and Selim Benin School of Computer Science and Engineering which was moving to a new building. The AudioCodes IP Phones offered all the required enterprise telephony features, coupled with exceptional voice quality and SIP interoperability, at a very low cost per unit.

Tieto, a leading IT service company, operating throughout Northern Europe, selected the AudioCodes Mediant 3000 Enterprise Session Border Controller (E-SBC) to enable seamless interconnectivity with SIP trunks for customers of its Microsoft Lync-based managed Unified Communications and Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS) offerings. With the Mediant 3000, Tieto can now rapidly connect new service providers and customers to its network in a cost-effective and reliable manner.

Vidax deployed high-density AudioCodes Mediant 3000 media gateways together with a least cost routing server solution from KMO Telecom to increase the efficiency and reliability of its outbound call center operation. The result was a drastic reduction in communications costs within the first month of operation and an ROI of just two months.

Hova Networks helped a large international customer, based in Mexico, build a new IP-based communications infrastructure using the AudioCodes Mediant 1000 Multi-Service Business Gateway (MSBG) and 300HD Series IP Phones. The new system enabled the customer to deploy an IP-PBX system (hosted on the Mediant 1000) to handle communications between offices in Mexico and Brazil. It also provided the ability to interconnect seamlessly with the PSTN and SIP Trunks.

smartnet successfully implemented the migration of their customer’s telecommunications infrastructure to a fully IP-based system. The AudioCodes Mediant 1000 platform was selected to perform critical functions within the new network, including media gateway, hosting platform for new IP-PBX system and E-SBC to enable interconnection with SIP trunking providers.

DeAtlantic, in collaboration with SmartConnect, deployed AudioCodes Media Gateways to provide flexible and reliable interconnectivity between its new Genesys IP Contact Center platform on one side and the PSTN and SIP trunking providers on the other. Support for contact center specific features such as Answering Machine Detection and Call Progress Detection helped DeAtlantic increase agent efficiency and improve the overall quality of its customer interactions.

To address the survivability issue, SWBC and their Avaya reseller partner, Cross Telecom, implemented an architecture that would utilize a SIP Survivable Gateway at each branch office, using AudioCodes Mediant 1000 or Mediant 600 Media Gateways with optional on-board Stand Alone Survivability (SAS). Each site would also utilize Avaya 9620 IP Phones for regular staff and 9650 phones for administrative/executive staff.

To solve the challenge involved in integrating the Alcatel-Lucent OmniPCX and Microsoft Exchange Server 2007, Alcatel-Lucent selected AudioCodes Mediant 1000 Multi-Service Business Gateway (MSBG). In this configuration, the Mediant 1000 MSBG with its integrated Enterprise Session Border Controller functionality acts as a back-to-back user agent, resolving interoperability issues between both Alcatel-Lucent and Microsoft's different versions of SIP.

BT Global Services worked together with Microsoft and AudioCodes to develop voice-specific reference architectures for their on-premise, managed services, based on AudioCodes’ Mediant 1000 and Mediant 2000 media gateways and Microsoft Office Communication Server 2007 and now Microsoft Lync 2010. This simplified the installation process and enabled smooth integration into customers’ existing telephony system environments.

Using access control and other security features within the E-SBC of the Mediant 1000 MSBG, ROI Network engineers were able to establish a set of security policies that will prevent hackers or other malicious behavior from reaching the Avaya SES system. This resolved the end-customers concerns about security and potential disruption to their business operations.

To provide an interface to the two SIP Trunking carriers, a configuration was developed that utilizes two AudioCodes Mediant 1000 E-SBCs for 150 sessions per device (300 sessions in total). The dual configuration supports both SIP trunking carriers, using DNS in a round-robin load balancing technique. In this redundant configuration, if either one of the E-SBCs failed, the other would continue to handle call traffic, but at half of the total call handling capacity.

013 NetVision was Israel’s earliest Internet service provider, deployed messaging and collaboration solutions based on Microsoft technologies. To connect Office Communications Server to its Nortel PBX so that employees could place and receive calls, the company used an AudioCodes gateway. At its secondary site, 013 NetVision will also consider replacing its Mediation Server with an AudioCodes survivable branch appliance (SBA), which is based on cost-effective media gateways hosting the Microsoft Survivable Branch Appliance software package.
