IPSec - Definition
IPSec is a suite of security protocols that operate at the network layer, layer 3 of the OSI model that can be used for protecting both TCP- and UDP-based protocols (as well as other layer 4 protocols). IPsec is implemented by a set of cryptographic protocols for securing packet flows and internet key exchange.
