Never a Boring Moment in Board Development

The engineers working on the board-level products at AudioCodes have been busy during the first half of 2004. The highlight of this period was the availability of an 8-span PCI form factor IPmedia products. With the IPM-260/8-span, AudioCodes again sets the bar for high-density solutions using standard form factors.

The IPM-260/8-Span offers developers increased capabilities for creating PCI-based platforms for enhanced voice services and enterprise applications. Offered in a variety of densities from 1, 2, 4 and now 8 E1/T1s on a single PCI slot, the IPM-260 is an excellent building block for a diverse range of VoIP gateways, IP-enabled contact centers, media servers, conferencing servers, PSTN and IP IVR solutions and Color Ring Back Tone Applications.

The IPM-260/8-span is completely API and protocol compatible with the previous lower-density versions, integration into existing software products is quite easy. As a result, a number of AudioCodes' customers have already integrated the IPM-260/8-span into their products.

This new platform shows AudioCodes' commitment to leverage density improvements in DSP and packet processor density (keeping true to Moore's law).
