AudioCodes Selected by Bezeq for Business Services Connectivity

Israel’s incumbent telecommunications operator selects AudioCodes Multi-Service Business Routers as part of converged voice and data service strategy

Lod, Israel and Broadband World Forum 2012, Amsterdam, Netherlands - October 16, 2012 - AudioCodes (NasdaqGS: AUDC), a leading provider of Voice over IP (VoIP) technologies, products and services, today announced that Bezeq, Israel’s largest and leading telecommunications group, has selected AudioCodes’ Mediant Multi-Service Business Routers (MSBR) to provide high performance data services to its business customers.

Bezeq offers its small to medium-sized business customers a range of hosted data and voice services, and has selected AudioCodes’ MSBR to replace multiple customer premises equipment with a single converged device.

"We were impressed with the AudioCodes MSBR all-in-one capacities as an integrated SIP media gateway, which allows us to plan future integration of multiple services," said Mr. Yariv Bargil, Head of Data Services Department at Bezeq Technologies Division. "In addition, we successfully tested the AudioCodes Mediant 800 MSBR, and were very satisfied with the performance of the gateway and its ability to maintain high routing throughput while running multiple data services which enables a successful VDSL service roll out."

"We specifically designed the Mediant MSBR family with multiple-core architecture for delivering consistent high performance data connectivity," explained Nimrod Borovsky, Vice President of Marketing at AudioCodes. "As small to medium-sized businesses adopt hosted and cloud-based services, operators increasingly need an all-in-one device for converged data and voice services. The selection of our MSBR by Bezeq, the largest telecommunications provider in Israel, confirms the high quality and functionality of our MSBR."
