AudioCodes offers the enterprise customer a key component in the unified telephony network – the Media Gateway. AudioCodes offers Media Gateways that support the following Microsoft gateway types:
- Basic Gateways for Microsoft Office Communications Server R1 & R2
- Enhanced Gateways for Microsoft Communications Server "14"
- IP Gateways for Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 & 2010
The Mediant 1000 and the Mediant 2000 Gateways can also support the following gateway configurations:
- Basic Hybrid Gateways for Microsoft Office Communications Server R1 & R2
- Branch Office Appliances for Microsoft Communications Server "14"
AudioCodes Media Gateways are cost-effective VoIP media gateways utilizing cutting edge technology. All of the AudioCodes gateways are designed to interface between Enterprise legacy telephony & IP networks.
Support of Microsoft Exchange Server & Microsoft Office Communications Server
AudioCodes' Media Gateways can support the connection to legacy PBXs and PSTN, both for Exchange Server Unified Messaging deployments and Office Communications Server deployments. Enterprises can smoothly migrate from isolated telephony and IT environments, and connect their legacy PBXs to the Microsoft Exchange Server as well as to the Microsoft Office Communications Server , allowing full implementations of Unified Messaging and Unified Communications in the enterprise.
Ultimately, the organization can migrate to a pure-IP environment, using Microsoft Communications Server "14" as the communications platform, connecting to the PSTN via the AudioCodes Media Gateway.
Mediant 1000 Modular Gateway
The AudioCodes Mediant 1000 Media Gateway supports different modular configurations, enabling the connection of the Microsoft Unified Communications solution to different models of PBXs using different types of telephony interfaces, including E1/T1/J1 spans, BRI interfaces and/or analog ports in various FXO/FXS configurations. It can also connect directly to IP-PBXs and SIP Trunk Service Providers.
The Mediant 1000 matches the density requirements for small locations while meeting enterprise demands for scalability. The compact Mediant 1000 Modular Gateway is extremely scalable and supports multiples of 1, 2, or 4 E1/T1/J1 spans, 4 to 20 BRI ports or 1 to 24 analog ports in various FXO/FXS configurations. The Mediant 1000 also supports mixed digital/analog configurations.
- Digital (E1/T1/J1) – connecting the PSTN or PBX to the IP-network
- Analog FXS – connecting analog phones and fax machines to the IP-network
- Analog FXO – connecting analog lines from the Central Office (CO) or PBX to the IP network
- BRI – connecting to PBXs or the PSTN to the IP network
Mediant 2000 Digital Gateway
The AudioCodes Mediant 2000 Media Gateway supports different configurations, enabling the connection of the Microsoft Unified Communications solution to different models of PBXs using E1/T1/J1 interfaces. The compact Mediant 2000 VoIP Gateway scales from 1 to 16 E1/T1/J1 spans in a 1U chassis.
Mediant 3000 High Availability Gateway
The Mediant 3000 is a feature-rich, highly available media gateway supporting high channel densities. The Mediant 3000 compact footprint (2U) meets both the needs of large enterprises, where reliable and dense media gateways are necessary for business-critical communications.
The Mediant 3000 scales up to 2016 VoIP channels. In addition to E1/T1 interfaces, the Mediant 3000 supports high-density PSTN interfaces, such as T3, STM-1 and OC3 to provide the enterprise with lower PSTN lease costs.
MediaPack Analog Gateways
The AudioCodes MediaPack Media Gateways support different configurations, enabling the connection of the Microsoft Unified Communications solution to different models of PBXs using analog ports in various FXO/FXS configurations.
In addition, the AudioCodes MediaPack gateways can connect existing legacy phones and faxes into the Microsoft Unified Communications environment.
