Another application for SPS is integrating 3rd party non-certified IP phones into a Microsoft UC environment. By connecting Skype for Business with IP Phones that are not MIcrosoft-certified, SPS ensures investment protection and deployment flexibility for enterprises with an install base of existing IP phones. Implementing SPS enables advanced features such as enhanced presence, active directory, and support for high definition wideband coders.
