Historically, AudioCodes has provided and continues to supply wireless over IP media gateway solutions to enable the use of IP-BSC/BTSs within legacy GSM/CDMA radio networks. With the commercial introduction of UMA (Unlicensed Mobile Access), also known as Generic Access Network (GAN), GSM mobile operators are able to provide service to users over WiFi as well as GSM radio networks with the use of WiFi/Cellular handsets.
