CDMA VoIP
CDMA VoIP - Market Requirements
CDMA Service Providers are currently upgrading their radio networks to utilize higher data access by implementing 1xEVDO-Rev.A technology. This radio technology, which includes improvements to CDMA vocoders, enables operators to deploy VoIP over EVDO.
The addition of VoIP enhancements to the EVRC vocoders and the introduction of the new EVRC-B vocoders, enables CDMA Service Providers to supply voice and data services to their users via a common radio. This reduces operational and capital equipment costs, as well as introduces exciting new applications over an IMS core network.
