AudioCodes (NASDAQ: AUDC), a leading provider of converged voice solutions that enable enterprises and service providers to transition to all-IP voice networks, today announced that the Mediant Session Border Controller Virtual Edition (SBC VE) has been selected by Interactive Intelligence for deployment with its communications as a service (CaaS) cloud solution. The Mediant SBC VE provides reliable, scalable and secure connectivity between Interactive Intelligence’s cloud-based contact center infrastructure and other IP-based communications systems and networks. It enables businesses subscribing to the service to benefit from high-quality voice communications with their own customers.
The Mediant SBC VE is a central element in AudioCodes’ Cloud Delivery solution suite designed to enable secured delivery of real time communication services from the cloud while optimizing cost, call quality and reliability and simplifying provisioning and management. AudioCodes’ solutions for cloud environments also enable rapid deployment of new and emerging services and capabilities such as WebRTC with OPUS wideband voice codec, real-time voice quality enhancements and monitoring using AudioCodes Session Experience Manager (SEM) and session routing management. In recent tests conducted by Miercom, the AudioCodes SBC VE was verified for its high performance, scalability and resiliency while under attack and overload conditions.
