AudioCodes, a leading provider of converged voice solutions that enable enterprises and service providers to transition to all-IP voice networks, today announced that LINN Energy, a top-15 independent U.S. oil and natural gas development company, has selected AudioCodes Mediant Survivable Branch Appliances (SBAs) to enhance survivability and connectivity at more than 14 of that company’s most critical facilities.

Branch survivability is critical for multi-site deployments of Microsoft Lync where the control servers are located in a datacenter or private cloud. AudioCodes offers a range of survivability solutions to ensure continued communications in the event of network outage or loss of communications to the central Microsoft Lync servers. Operating on Microsoft-certified Mediant hardware platforms, AudioCodes’ Survivable Branch Appliances provide integrated support for TDM and SIP trunking connectivity, automatic failure detection and recovery, along with urgent E911 access.
