Meet AudioCodes' Leadership Team

Shabtai Adlersberg

President and Chief Executive Officer

Shabtai Adlersberg co-founded AudioCodes in 1993, and has served as the Company’s President, Chief Executive Officer and a director since inception. Until December 2012, he also served as the Chairman of our Board of Directors. Mr. Adlersberg co-founded the DSP Group, a semiconductor company, in 1987. From 1987 to 1990, he served as the Vice President of Engineering of the DSP Group, and from 1990 to 1992, he served as Vice President of Advanced Technology. As Vice President of Engineering, he established a research and development team for digital cellular communication which was later spun-off in 1992 as DSP Communications. Mr. Adlersberg also serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Natural Speech Communication Ltd. and as a director of CTI Squared Ltd. Mr. Adlersberg holds an M.Sc. in Electronics and Computer Engineering from Tel Aviv University and a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology.

Lior Aldema

EVP and Chief Business Officer

Lior Aldema has served as Chief Business Officer (CBO) since January 2018, as a director from July 2018 to September 2022, and as our Chief Operating Officer and Head of Global Sales from April 2012 to December 2017. Previously, he served as our Vice President, Product Management from 2002 until 2009, as well as our Vice President Marketing from February 2003 until 2009. He has been employed by us since 1998, when he was team leader and later headed our System Software Group in our research and development department. Prior to 1998, Mr. Aldema served as an officer in the Technical Unit of the Intelligence Corps of the Israeli Defense Forces (Major), heading both operational units and large development groups related to various technologies. Mr. Aldema holds an M.B.A. from Tel Aviv University and a B.Sc. from the Technion.

Tal Dor

Vice President, Human Resources

Tal Dor has served as AudioCodes’ Vice President of Human Resources since March 2000. Prior to that time, Tal worked for several years as a consultant to various Israeli telephone and cable businesses, as well as health and social service organizations. Tal holds a B.A. in Psychology from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev and an M.A. in Psychology from Tel Aviv University.

Niran Baruch

Chief Financial Officer

Niran Baruch serves as AudioCodes’ Chief Financial Officer. Niran joined AudioCodes in 2005 as Director of Finance. He later became Vice President of Finance, responsible for the management of the finance department, and joined the AudioCodes management team in 2015. From 2002 to 2005, Niran served as International Controller at Check Point Software Technologies. From 2000 to 2002, he served as a Controller at Gilat Satellite Networks. From 1998 to 2000, he served as audit manager at Ernst and Young in Israel. Niran is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a BA in Business Management and Accounting.

Yehuda Herscovici

Vice President, Product

Yehuda Herscovici has served as AudioCodes’ Vice President of Systems Group since 2003. From 2001 to 2003, Yehuda served as Vice President of Advanced Products. From 2000 to 2001, he served as the Company’s Director of Advanced Technologies. From 1994 to 1998 and throughout 1999, Yehuda held a variety of research and development positions at Advanced Recognition Technologies, Ltd., a voice and handwriting recognition company. He headed its research and development from 1999 to 2000 as Vice President of Research and Development. From 1998 to 1999, Yehuda was engaged in developing various wireless communication algorithms at Comsys, a telecommunications company. Yehuda holds an M.Sc. and a B.Sc., from the Technion, both in the area of telecommunications.

Yair Hevdeli

Vice President, Research and Development

Yair Hevdeli joined AudioCodes in July 2013 as Vice President of R&D. From 2003 to 2013, Yair served in various executive positions at Veraz/Dialogic, including Global VP of R&D, and most recently as Senior VP R&D and GM, Bandwidth Optimization BU. From 1998 to 2003, Yair worked at ECI Telecom Ltd., where he held various technical and management positions. He has over 20 years of experience leading large multidisciplinary R&D global teams in the telecom industry. Yair graduated in 1995 with an MBA in Business Management from Bar Ilan University and in 1992 gained his BA in Computer Science and Economics, from Bar Ilan University.

Ofer Nimtsovich

Chief Operating Officer

Ofer Nimtsovich joined AudioCodes in March 2013 as Vice President of Global Services. From 2000 to February 2013, Ofer served in various executive positions at Retalix, including Chief Information Officer, Executive Vice President of Global Services and most recently as the head of the Software as a Service division. From 1994 to 2000, Ofer worked for Scitex Corporation Ltd., where he held various technical and management positions, including the Global Microsoft Infrastructure Manager. Ofer graduated from the Business Administration College in Israel in 1997 with a B.A. in Business Administration and Marketing, and also holds an MBA from the University of Texas.

Shaul Weissman

Vice President, Business Development

Shaul Weissman joined the AudioCodes management team in 2013 as Vice President of Business Development. Before this, Shaul served as a Vice President and Business Line Manager of the Residential Business Line from 2008, and as Vice President and Business Line Manager of the Chips and Modules Line from 2004. He has worked at AudioCodes since 1994, when he was DSP team leader in AudioCodes’ research and development department. He later headed AudioCodes’ DSP Support and Professional Services Group. Prior to 1994, Shaul served as an officer in the Israeli Air Force (Captain). He holds an M.Sc and a B.Sc. from the Technion – Israeli Technical Institute – cum laude.

Eyal Frishberg

Vice President, Operations

Eyal Frishberg has served as AudioCodes’ Vice President of Operations since October 2000. From 1997 to 2000, Eyal served as Associate Vice President of SDH Operations at ECI Telecom Ltd., a major telecommunication company. From 1987 to 1997, he served in various operational positions at ECI Telecom, including managing the ECI production facility and production control. Eyal worked from 1984 until 1987 for ELTA, a division of Israeli Aircraft Industries, in the planning and control department. Eyal holds a B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering from Tel Aviv University and an M.B.A. from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev.

Stanley Stern

Chairman of the Board

Stanley Stern became a director and AudioCodes’ Chairman of the Board in December 2012. From 2008 until 2013 Mr. Stern served in various positions at Oppenheimer & Co., including as Managing Director and Head of Technology, Israeli Banking and FIG. Since 2013, Mr. Stern has served as the president of Alnitak Capital, a private merchant bank and strategic advisory firm. From March 2004 until December 2007, he served as a Managing Director and Head of Investment Banking at Oppenheimer. From 2002 until 2004, he was a Managing Director and the Head of Investment Banking at C.E. Unterberg, Towbin where he focused on the technology and defense related sectors. From January 2000 until January 2002, Mr. Stern served as the President of STI Ventures Advisory USA Inc., a venture capital firm focusing on technology investments. Prior to his term at STI Ventures, he spent over 20 years at CIBC Oppenheimer in the investment banking department and started the technology banking group in 1990. From 2002 until 2012, Mr. Stern served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tucows, Inc., an Internet service provider that is publicly traded on the AMEX, and since 2012 he has continued to serve as a Director of Tucows, Inc. From 2012, he has also served as a director of Given Imaging Ltd., a NASDAQ-listed manufacturer of GI medical devices. From 2004 until 2009, Mr. Stern served as a director of Odimo Inc., an online jewelry vendor. From 2005 until its sale in 2011, he served as a director and Chairman of the Audit Committee of Fundtech Ltd. Mr. Stern received his M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School and holds a BS from Queens College.

Doron Nevo

Director

Doron Nevo has served as an AudioCodes director since 2000. Mr. Nevo is President and CEO of KiloLambda Technologies Ltd., an optical nanotechnology company, which he co-founded in 2001. From 1999 to 2001, Mr. Nevo was involved in fundraising activities for Israeli-based startup companies. From 1996 to 1999, Mr. Nevo served as President and CEO of NKO, Inc. He established NKO in early 1995 as a startup subsidiary of Clalcom, Ltd. NKO designed and developed a full scale, carrier grade, IP telephony system and established its own IP network. From 1992 to 1996, Mr. Nevo served as President and CEO of Clalcom Ltd. He established Clalcom in 1992 as a telecom service provider in Israel. He also serves as a director of Etgar - Portfolio Management Trust Co. and of a number of private companies. Mr. Nevo holds a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology and a M.Sc. in Telecommunications Management from Brooklyn Polytechnic.

Joseph Tenne

Director

Joseph Tenne has served as one of our directors since June 2003. Mr. Tenne serves as a financial advisor to Itamar Medical Ltd., an Israeli company listed on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange. Mr. Tenne serves as a director of Orbothech Ltd., an Israeli company listed on NASDAQ, MIND CTI Ltd., an Israeli company listed on NASDAQ, OPC Energy Ltd., an Israeli company listed on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange, Ability Inc., A Cayman Island company listed on NASDAQ and on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange, and Ratio Oil Explorations (Finance) Ltd., an Israeli company listed on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange. From August 2014 to April 2017, Mr. Tenne served as the Vice President Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Itamar Medical Ltd. From March 2014 to July 2014, Mr. Tenne served as the Chief Financial Officer of Orgenesis Inc., a U.S. company traded on the Over-The-Counter QB market. From March 2005 until April 2013, Mr. Tenne served as the Chief Financial Officer of Ormat Technologies, Inc., a company listed on the New York Stock Exchange. From January 2006 until April 2013, Mr. Tenne also served as the Chief Financial Officer of Ormat Industries Ltd., an Israeli holding company which was listed on the Tel-Aviv Stock Exchange and was the parent company of Ormat Technologies, Inc. From 2003 to 2005, Mr. Tenne was the Chief Financial Officer of Treofan Germany GmbH & Co. KG, a German company, which is engaged in the development, production and marketing of oriented polypropylene films. From 1997 until 2003, Mr. Tenne was a partner in Kesselman & Kesselman, Certified Public Accountants in Israel (PwC Israel) and a member of PricewaterhouseCoopers International Limited. Mr. Tenne holds a B.A. in Accounting and Economics and an M.B.A. from Tel Aviv University. Mr. Tenne is also a Certified Public Accountant in Israel.

Zehava Simon

Director

Zehava Simon was appointed a director in February 2014. Ms. Simon served as a Vice President of BMC Software Inc. from 2000 until September 2013, most recently as Vice President, Corporate Development. From 2002 to 2011, she served as Vice President and General Manager of BMC Software in Israel. Prior to joining BMC Software, Ms. Simon held a number of executive positions at Intel Corporation, which she joined in 1982. In her last position at Intel, she led Finance and Operations and Business Development for Intel in Israel. Ms. Simon has served as a board member of Nova Measuring Instruments a publicly-listed company traded on NASDAQ and TASE, since July 2014, and of Amiad Filtration Systems, a public company traded on the London Stock Exchange, since March 2014. She also served as a board member of various companies, including Tower Semiconductor from 1999 to 2004, M-Systems from 2005 to 2006, and InSightec from 2005 to 2012. Ms. Simon holds a bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences from the Hebrew University, a law degree (LL.B.) from the Interdisciplinary Center in Herzlia and a master’s degree in Business and Management from Boston University.

Shira Fayans Birenbaum

Director

Shira Fayans Birenbaum was appointed a director in March 2022. Ms. Shira Fayans Birenbaum holds the position of President Global of CYMPIRE Ltd., a cyber simulation platform, as well as serving as a board member at ION Acquisition Corp (NYSE: IACC), a SPAC's franchise company, at POMVOM Ltd. (TASE: PMVM), at Cyber Innovative Technologies as an advisory board member. Ms. Fayans Birenbaum has 25 years of experience as a Board Member in publicly traded companies such as investment houses, banks, insurance, real estate, manufacturers, semiconductor and educational institutions. In the years 2014-2019, Ms. Fayans Birenbaum held the position of COO and CMO of Microsoft Israel (NASDAQ:MSTF) leading Digital Transformation. Ms. Fayans Birenbaum has extensive experience in Executive C Level positions in her previous roles. Ms. Fayans Birenbaum holds an MBA and BA both from Tel Aviv University and Marketing management certification studies from The College of Management Academic studies.

Shai Levy

Director

Shai Levy was appointed a director in October 2023. Mr. Levy holds the position of General Manager of Amdocs Israel and Business Executive as well as several other roles with the Amdocs group (NYSE: DOX). Mr. Levy has over 23 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. At Amdocs, Mr. Levy held multiple positions, ranging from managing customers and customer division in North America, Amdocs competency centers, Amdocs managed service division and more. Prior to joining Amdocs, Mr. Levy held the position of CFO and controller in several Israeli based companies. Mr. Levy holds an M.B.A., B.A. in economics and an additional B.A. in accounting, all from Tel Aviv University.
