Lod, Israel – June 26, 2017 - AudioCodes (NASDAQ: AUDC) Press Release
AudioCodes, a leading provider of voice networking solutions that enable enterprises and service providers to transition to all-IP voice networks, today announced that Axtel, a leading telecommunications service provider in Mexico, has deployed AudioCodes Mediant session border controllers (SBC) as a critical component of its unified communications (UC) and SIP trunking service infrastructure. AudioCodes’ Mediant SBCs help Axtel deliver secure and high-quality VoIP services to its businesses customers across Mexico.
AudioCodes’ Mediant SBC provides extensive interoperability, interworking and security functions that have allowed Axtel to accelerate its UC and SIP trunking offering, by efficiently mediating between its business customers, unified communications platform and SIP trunking infrastructure. The Mediant SBC delivers secure and resilient VoIP service by enforcing call admission control, providing end-to-end security and protecting against denial-of-service attacks and other service-impacting events. AudioCodes’ flexible and scalable SBC enables multiple services – including hosted UC and SIP trunking services – to be supported in a single platform, administrated via AudioCodes’ powerful and user-friendly management systems.
We selected the AudioCodes Mediant 9000 SBC for its rich capabilities and smooth integration with our advanced SIP portfolio and Hosted IP-PBX solutions,” commented Luis Arturo Rosales, Voice and Collaboration Strategy Product Manager at Axtel. “Throughout our collaboration, AudioCodes has consistently delivered innovative, high-quality voice over IP products, including multi-service business routers, media gateways, on-premises session border controllers and IP phones that complement our core solutions. The Mediant 9000 continues the crucial role of AudioCodes in our network by meeting the needs of today’s advanced IP telephony systems.”
We are delighted to have been selected by Axtel, a longtime customer of AudioCodes and a leading service provider in Mexico, for their UCaaS and SIP trunking services,” commented Yehuda Herscovici, VP Product at AudioCodes. “The Mediant 9000 SBC encapsulates the full breadth of our mature, feature-rich and globally deployed SBC software in a highly efficient and scalable platform that is a perfect fit for next-generation IP telephony architecture.”
