AudioCodes Launches Cloud-based Voice Dialing Software as a Service Solution

AudioCodes, a leading provider of solutions that enable enterprises and service providers to transition to all-IP voice networks, today announced the launch of its cloud-based VocaNOM application. VocaNOM, part of AudioCodes One Voice for Enterprise Mobility solution suite, is offered as an innovative cloud-based service to organizations that allows for voice-activated routing of intra-organizational calls for employees both “on the go” and in the office, as well as from callers outside of the organization. The provision of the application through the cloud is expected to accelerate the adoption of the service in the organization, significantly reduce telephony costs and improve employee efficiency.

VocaNOM leverages the success of AudioCodes voice recognition technology which has been installed over the past 18 months in large Israeli enterprises in different business sectors, including high-tech, educational, industrial, and municipal organizations. VocaNOM is currently available in Israel and will be rolled out to other countries in the coming months.

The VocaNOM application allows mobile and office employee callers, as well as external callers, to make automatically routed voice calls directly to the requested person in the organization. This is accomplished by simply stating the name of the person or department they wish to call and then being automatically transferred to the requested party. In doing so, the application avoids the hassle of searching for phone numbers or waiting to speak to an operator.

VocaNOM streamlines telephone communications both within and outside the organization. It is expected to dramatically reduce the costs of international inter-organizational calls from mobile phones, as well as the costs associated with providing a live operator. It also provides for a safer call during driving and improves the efficiency of workers on the road, in the office and in remote locations.
