AudioCodes Expands its Family of Enterprise Session Border Controllers (E‐SBC)

Lod, Israel – July 26, 2010 – AudioCodes (NasdaqGS: AUDC), a leading provider of Voice over IP (VoIP) technologies and Voice Network products, today announced the expansion of Enterprise Session Border Controller (E‐SBC) capabilities for the Mediant 1000 and Mediant 3000 platforms. AudioCodes’ Enterprise Session Border Controller capabilities target the growing market for SIP Trunking, Hosted IP‐PBX, Remote Extension, Contact Center and Conferencing services, providing comprehensive security, mediation and quality assurance capabilities for enterprises interested in exploiting the business benefits of moving from traditional PSTN to SIP Trunking. With this expansion of E‐SBC for its Mediant platforms, AudioCodes is seeking to address the needs of those users who want a combined solution of sophisticated Media Gateways with a cutting‐edge Session Border Controller, as well as those users who want stand‐alone Session Border Controllers.

Security threats that exist in the VoIP world, such as spam over IP Telephony (SPIT), call fraud, identity theft, eavesdropping and more, are addressed by the AudioCodes E‐SBC family which delivers perimeter VoIP defense, signaling mediation and media transcoding, as well as QoS monitoring and SLA enforcement. AudioCodes Mediant 1000 and Mediant 3000 E‐SBC configurations address the needs of SMB, SME and larger enterprises.
