Gaithersburg, MD and Lod, Israel – October 21, 2015 – BroadSoft, Inc. (NASDAQ: BSFT) and AudioCodes (NasdaqGS: AUDC) today announced that AudioCodes’ line of session border controllers (SBCs) and Gateways will be used by BroadSoft® for use with its BroadCloud® SIP Trunking offering, enabling Service Providers to offer the cost savings and resiliency benefits of SIP trunking to businesses that wish to maintain their legacy PBX investments. Additionally, Service Providers will benefit from interoperability and an easy-to-deploy range of SBCs and Gateways. BroadSoft and AudioCodes will jointly promote this offering, and it will be fulfilled through BroadSoft’s extensive distribution channel network.
The launch of BroadCloud SIP Trunking will enable Service Providers to offer their business customers a high value service for locations not ready to fully deploy cloud PBX and UC. AudioCodes’ portfolio of SBCs and Gateways were tested with BroadCloud solutions and successfully completed interoperability testing. AudioCodes’ SBCs and Gateways allow SIP trunk interoperability with virtually any PBX or IP-PBX, including Microsoft Skype for Business, and represent a secured point of demarcation between the SIP trunking infrastructure and the enterprise network. They provide integrated high quality voice features, support for SIP protocols, a wide variety of codecs, built-in analog and digital interfaces, and built-in monitoring based on BroadSoft’s PacketSmart®, embedded within the SBC.
“The use of the AudioCodes platforms is an important element in the deployment of our SIP trunk offering and a natural next step in our strategic relationship,” said Taher Behbehani, Chief Marketing Officer, BroadSoft. “AudioCodes has a strong reputation, for many years as an industry leader, of having assisted companies in their migration from TDM to SIP. This solution enables Service Providers to approach multi-site enterprises with a large unamortized legacy PBX installed base and offer them immediate business value and a graceful migration to cloud-based UC at a pace that makes sense for their business, while maximizing their ROI.”
“We are proud that our platforms were chosen for BroadCloud’s SIP Trunking offering,” said Lior Aldema, Chief Operating Officer and Vice President Global Sales at AudioCodes. “BroadSoft’s selection of AudioCodes’ products for use in its SIP trunk offering after a very meticulous process is yet further evidence of the strong value of our AudioCodes One Voice for BroadSoft Solution, a one-stop-shop offering that includes not only Session Border Controllers and Gateways, but also IP Phones, business routers and micro-business solutions.”
AudioCodes’ SBC portfolio includes a wide range of SBCs scaling from a few sessions all the way up to 30,000 sessions. They can be deployed as either an appliance or as a software SBC.
