AudioCodes’ VMAS CMS provides carriers with a proven client distribution and back-end management system. In addition, AudioCodes VMAS clients support leading mobile operating systems such as Symbian, Windows Mobile, Apple OS and others. AudioCodes VMAS is currently available for leading smartphones like iPhone/iPod Touch, Nokia, Samsung, HTC and others.
According to a new market research report from In-Stat dated September 2009, the research company projects that by 2013, Mobile VoIP applications will generate annual revenues of $32.2 billion, driven by more than 278 million registered users worldwide. “We believe that Mobile VoIP will become dominant in the next few years with the growing number of Smartphones and increased processing power and data availability,” stated Lior Aldema, Vice President of Marketing and Product Management at AudioCodes. “Service providers are looking for new value added services to increase revenues while allowing end users to make low cost calls at significantly improved voice quality.”

AudioCodes Mobile VoIP Solutions are designed to meet the growing demand for new applications and services like roaming, allowing roaming subscribers to initiate voice calls and send text messages (SMS) over a cellular data and/or WiFi connection, using their current mobile handsets at highly cost-effective rates, which is expected to reduce service provider customer churn.
AudioCodes Mobile VoIP Clients are stand-alone mobile-phone SIP Soft Clients, featuring Standard and High Definition VoIP, and standards-based presence with an intuitive user interface. Clients are based on the latest Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) standards. Developed through a multi-year partnership with MailVision, a leader in the SIP mobile clients market segment, the solution was deployed in several Mobile Operators and NGN Service Providers in the last 12 months.
