AudioCodes UcSIPT Connects Microsoft Unified Communication Networks With SIP Trunking Service Providers

Lod, Israel – July 8, 2010 - AudioCodes (NasdaqGS: AUDC), a leading provider of Voice over IP (VoIP) technologies and Voice Network products, today announced UcSIPT - a solution set for converging the benefits of Microsoft Communications Server “14” and SIP Trunking services using Media Gateway and Enterprise Sessions Border Controllers.

“We have recently decided to use the AudioCodes Mediant 1000 for connecting our network to the Verizon SIP Trunking service,” said Joe LeNoach, IT Manager in Alutiiq, a wholly owned subsidiary of Afognak Native Corporation, an Alaska Native Corporation (ANC) formed under the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act of 1971. “We were looking for a solution to securely connect the Microsoft Office Communications Servers installed in our branches using a cost-effective SIP trunking service. AudioCodes Mediant 1000 provided the required mediation services to implement this solution quickly and cost-effectively.”

The connection between the Enterprise Microsoft environment and SIP Trunking service providers is enabled by AudioCodes Enterprise products with integral Session Border Controllers capabilities. These field-proven products can also be used as Microsoft “Basic” Gateways, “Basic Hybrid” gateways, “Enhanced” gateways, as well as “Survivable Branch Appliances”. The AudioCodes products support the SIP Trunking secured connection, as well as a variety of TDM PBX and PSTN interface types, providing high quality, secured, survivable and manageable VoIP service for the enterprise, fully integrated into the Microsoft environment.
