For small businesses, some of the most important customer conversations happen on the move. A technician discusses a repair, a sales representative agrees on next steps or a consultant confirms a customer requirement. The conversation ends, but the work doesn’t. Someone still needs to document what was discussed, remember commitments and follow up.
Deutsche Telekom is addressing that need with Voice AI Notes Mobile, an AI-powered service enabled by AudioCodes VoiceAI Connect. Its deployment shows how service providers can add AI services to existing voice networks, evolve their AI technologies and retain control over sensitive workloads.
Bringing AI Intelligence Directly to Mobile Calls
Deutsche Telekom’s Voice AI Notes Mobile helps small and medium-sized businesses turn everyday phone conversations into useful information, without requiring employees to install another application. Available through Deutsche Telekom’s Business Mobil and Business Mobil Pro plans, the service automatically records, transcribes and summarizes business calls.
With call participants’ prior consent, employees can activate the service using the voice command “Hey Magenta” or by pressing #24.1 An audible announcement informs everyone on the call that AI note-taking is active. After the call, the employees receive a structured summary through Rich Communication Services (RCS), including key discussion points, agreed tasks and relevant appointment information.2
For employees working in field service, consulting, sales or technical support, this means less time reconstructing conversations and more time serving customers.
How AudioCodes VoiceAI Connect Makes It Possible
To deliver Voice AI Notes Mobile, Deutsche Telekom uses AudioCodes VoiceAI Connect as the real-time connectivity and orchestration layer between its mobile network and AI services. VoiceAI Connect integrates the network with Deutsche Telekom’s chosen AI environment, including n8n and Mistral AI.
VoiceAI Connect’s modular architecture and open APIs separate voice connectivity from the choice of AI models and speech technologies. This allows Deutsche Telekom to evolve its AI services while retaining the underlying network integration, reducing the work needed to introduce additional use cases.
Built on AudioCodes session border controller (SBC) technology, VoiceAI Connect provides secure, scalable voice connectivity. It coordinates voice interactions and call flows between the network and connected services, bringing AudioCodes’ voice expertise to AI deployments.

Supporting Sovereign Voice AI
For AI services that process business conversations, privacy and data sovereignty are essential considerations. Deutsche Telekom runs its solution within its own T Cloud environment, with call data processed in European data centers. According to Deutsche Telekom, recordings, transcripts and summaries are deleted after delivery, and customer data is not used to train AI models.3
VoiceAI Connect supports this approach through flexible deployment options, including customer-controlled cloud environments and private data centers. Organizations can choose compatible AI and speech services and design voice data flows around their privacy and residency requirements.
Introducing New Voice AI Services Faster
The deployment extends Deutsche Telekom’s longstanding technology relationship with AudioCodes into voice AI. In the AudioCodes announcement, Claudia Buhne, Vice President Portfolio/Business Communication & Collaboration at Deutsche Telekom Geschäftskunden GmbH, described VoiceAI Connect as “giving us the flexibility to bring new AI-powered capabilities to our customers quickly.”
Once VoiceAI Connect is integrated into a network, new use cases can be configured and introduced within weeks. For service providers, this creates opportunities to launch services and generate revenue sooner, with less dependence on lengthy network feature development cycles. Reusing voice integration across multiple services can make each subsequent launch less dependent on a new network integration project.
Expanding Beyond Call Summaries
Voice AI Notes Mobile addresses an immediate business need, but Deutsche Telekom’s plans to extend beyond transcription and summarization. Its recently announced Voice AI Actions service, planned for 2027, is intended to turn call outcomes into automated follow-up processes, including CRM updates, task creation and service tickets.4
Beyond Deutsche Telekom’s announced roadmap, VoiceAI Connect supports a wider range of voice AI applications, including conversational agents, agent assistance, real-time translation and automated follow-up through connected AI applications and workflow services. Service providers and enterprises can build on an existing voice integration foundation as they expand across customer engagement, employee productivity and business process automation.
Building Your Next Voice AI Service
Deutsche Telekom’s deployment offers a practical starting point for providers planning their own services – solve a clear customer problem, establish reusable voice integration and choose AI technologies and deployment environments that meet operational requirements. Enterprises can apply the same approach to their telephony and contact center environments.
