Smart Noise Reduction for Open Spaces on C455HD & C470HD Teams Phones

This release introduces a new noise reduction mechanism designed to improve call clarity in open-space environments. This enhancement minimizes background noise, such as machinery, chatter, and ambient sounds, heard by remote participants when the local user is not speaking. 

By default, the system intelligently suppresses most background noise without compromising voice 
quality. For high-noise environments, an advanced configuration option is available:

• Parameter: dsp/audio/reduce_open_space_noise
• Default Value: 2
• Optional Value: 3 (for more aggressive noise reduction, with slight impact on voice quality)

* This feature is available on the C455HD and C470HD Teams phones. 

Provisioning Source Auto Discovery Enhancement

The Provisioning Source Auto Discovery mechanism has been enhanced to allow admins to specify, for each individual device, the DHCP option to be used as the default provisioning source (DHCP 160, DHCP 66/67, or Redirect).  If the default DHCP option is blank, the system automatically tries the next option until it finds an option with a value or no option is left.

Provisioning Reset - Changed Command Name 

The Reset Provisioning command has been renamed to Rediscover Provisioning Server, to better reflect its function. This command resets the device’s provisioning settings, allowing it to connect to another provisioning server (if one is configured). 

Emergency Failover Calls Maintaining Teams Username When Switching to SIP Mode

The AudioCodes Calling App for Emergency Failover (previously released) has been enhanced to support registering with the calling phone's Teams username, even after the phone has switched to SIP mode. This means that when a user calls a preconfigured emergency number, such as the security officer, the caller ID will be the username of the phone once the call is made in SIP mode.

Main Features In This Release:

AudioCodes Smart Button Programmable for Redial Functionality

The phone’s AudioCodes Smart Button can now be configured to function as a redial button. This feature is applicable to C455HD, C430HD, C435HD, and C436HD IP Phones. Configuration is done using the following parameter: personal_settings/audiocodes_key_to_redial/enabled=1.

Bypassing Initial Language and Date/Time Setup on First Boot

If the device receives language and/or date/time configuration from Device Manager or during provisioning, it will skip those settings during the first boot.

Copilot-Generated Summaries for Call Transfers 

Applicable for phones using Teams app version 1449/1.0.94.2025168802 and later

The feature provides agents with a copilot-generated summary of the call before transferring it. The summary includes key details such as caller information, call reason, prior actions, and next steps. It supports both consult and blind transfers, ensuring effective communication and improved efficiency. 

Prerequisites:

• The feature requires an additional license when available in GA: M365 Copilot. Visit here for more details: License options for Microsoft 365 Copilot.
• Transcription needs to be enabled in calling policies for both the transferor and the transferee.

Line Keys for Shared Line, Collaborative Call Delegation, Call Queues and Call Transfers

Applicable for phones using Teams app version 1449/1.0.94.2025168802 and later

The feature allows the following:

• Line keys are now available for shared lines on Teams certified phone devices. Users can assign shared lines to a line key and view the boss/delegates and members of the group along with their presence.
• Delegates can pick up calls on behalf of the boss or group members by pressing the line key and join active calls. This is also supported for collaborative call delegation groups.
• Users can also now assign call queues to a line key and monitor their status if the call queue has an active ongoing call or is available. Users can pick up calls on the call queue by pressing the line key.

Users can assign the transfer action to the line key, enabling them to transfer active calls to specific contacts by simply pressing that line key. This is now also supported on sidecars. 

External Contacts Management 

Applicable for phones using Teams app version 1449/1.0.94.2025168802 and later

This feature allows users to add and edit external contacts using the lightweight People app on Teams phone devices. Users can manage and interact with contacts outside of their organization.

C436HD New Teams Phone Model

AudioCodes Calling Application for Emergency Failover 

This new SIP fallback feature ensures that users can make calls even if Microsoft Teams is unavailable. The device maintains internet connectivity via the SBC using a SIP-based application, allowing users to call pre-configured numbers, such as emergency contacts, when the feature is activated.

Key Highlights:

• SIP Fallback Capability: Enables users to make calls through a SIP-based application when Teams is unavailable, ensuring continuous communication.
• Pre-configured Numbers: Users can only call predefined numbers, such as emergency contacts, during failover.
• System Administrator Configuration: Administrators can enable this feature, configure SIP parameters, and set predefined numbers during the phone configuration phase. For detailed configuration instructions, refer to the Administrator’s and User’s  manual.

Support for Line Key Assignment 

The Teams application now supports the assignment of contacts to line keys, enabling speed dialing and displaying Teams presence status. This feature enhances user convenience by utilizing the main LCD side keys on the C430HD, C435HD, and C436HD models, which were previously unused. Users can now assign up to six line keys for quick access to their contacts:

Force Users to Change Lock PIN 

The Teams application now supports this ability. Administrators can now configure an option that forces users to change their device lock PIN. This is achieved by setting up the new configuration file parameter forceChangePIN, which mandates users to update their device lock PIN.

Return to Previous Version 

In response to the previous release’s downgrade block, AudioCodes has introduced a new, controlled option for reverting to the previous firmware version. This feature allows Administrators users to return to the firmware version stored on the device after completing their evaluation of a new build
