Lod, Israel – March 10, 2005 – Today at CeBIT, AudioCodes (Nasdaq: AUDC), a leading provider of Voice over Packet (VoP) technologies and Voice Network products for converged networks, announced that Kapsch CarrierCom, a leading system innovator for communication technology solutions for operators of fixed, mobile and data networks, has deployed AudioCodes’ MediantTM and MediaPackTM Media Gateways and IPmediaTM Media Servers as part of Kapsch CarrierCom´s Mississippi hosted VoIP solution. Mississippi is an open, standards-based Voice over IP and hosted IP PBX solution, which enables carriers and service providers to offer voice services via an IP network. The complete solution is aimed at business customers who want to replace their traditional PBX systems and deploy new IP services. Kapsch CarrierCom has integrated its SIP softswitch with AudioCodes Mediant digital media gateways, IPmedia Media Servers and MediaPackTM analog gateways to deliver enhanced VoIP solutions for carriers and service providers. AudioCodes’ media gateways serve as CPE as well as Core Network Trunking Gateways, and the IPmedia Media Server functions as an MRFP for delivering advanced VoIP services including announcements, IVR and conferencing. The complete solution enables carriers and service providers to offer hosted services and IPCentrex services and applications.
